Pain Salve

Made with Arnica, Comfrey and now with Cayenne! I like to massage this salve into my sore shoulders and feet. Rub it on bruises, muscles, sprains, nerve pain, painful or swollen joints and inflamed areas.

The herbs in this salve are grown and foraged on our homestead, dried and then infused in oils for weeks so the oil will soak up all those herbal benefits. The mixture is then strained and mixed with beeswax to create this salve.

Cayenne contains capsaicin which is used in ointments for pain relief. Capsaicin eases muscle and joint pain by "confusing" pain transmitters. It increases surface blood flow and reduces inflammation. It desensitizes local nerves and decreases pain due to certain conditions.

Comfrey supports new skin cell growth & can ease pain from bruises, arthritis, pulled muscles & fractures.

Applied to the skin as a salve, Arnica has been used to soothe muscle and joint pain, reduce inflammation, and heal wounds.

Other ingredients:

Peppermint Essential oil gives a slight cooling sensation which can calm and soothe skin because of menthol's cooling effect.

Ginger essential oil is ideal for alleviating joint and muscle pain, and is known for its warming properties that can help ease inflammation.
